In an interview with Majid Borghani Farahani, CEO of the knowledge-based company specializing in the refurbishment of high-pressure heaters, he stated that his company had implemented the power-plant heater refurbishment project for the first time in the country, resulting in substantial national cost savings.
He referred to water entering the heaters at a pressure of 350 bar and subsequently being used in the power-generation process. He explained that because a large volume of water passes through the heaters, they may develop holes or suffer from corrosion.
Borghani stated that, considering the annual need to refurbish approximately 50 high-pressure heaters in the power-plant industry, the company has taken steps toward the domestic production of these heaters.
He added that the achievements resulting from heater refurbishment represent an important innovation in the manufacturing sector. These developments can contribute to improving refurbishment technologies, increasing efficiency, and manufacturing the tubes used in high-pressure power-plant heaters.
Such efforts not only lead to significant economic savings, but also play an essential role in expanding technical knowledge and strengthening domestic capabilities in this field.
